Unlike other girl groups where there is an obvious main singer taking most of the lines, T-ara’s situation is a little different – besides So Yeon, members like Eun Jung and Hyo Min are given their fair share of lines too, and there are even songs where they sing more than So Yeon.

The main singers aside, I’ve read comments about how lousy Qri and Ji Yeon are at singing; so today, I shall share 2 songs by Ji Yeon and you shall be the judge whether or not she can sing.

Rolling (God of Study OST)

I like playing it whenever it’s raining outside. The song may sound plain and even boring the first time you hear it, but that’s because it’s from the soundtrack of the drama God of Study, and it’s played at the saddest moments; And I think Ji Yeon’s voice suits the style (though her high notes can be improved).

Little by Little (Jungle Fish 2 OST)

Another drama soundtrack, for the 2010 drama Jungle Fish 2; which means Ji Yeon was 16+ when she recorded the song. Personally, I prefer Rolling, but this song is a good non-T-ara but T-ara-related song nonetheless.

so I was just at urban dictionary, and decided to search for T-ara; to my horror, this was the result:

so I decided to do both Urban Dictionary and T-ara a favour by adding my definition of T-ara:

T-ara is commonly introduced by the hosts of music programs as cute and sexy girls, sure they are both cute and sexy, but can you name me a cute song from T-ara?

Most would say it’s Bo Peep Bo Peep, but with it’s butt shaking, I’ll definitely classify it under “Sexy”. And YaYaYa is taking a contemporary interpretation of the word “cute”, so I wouldn’t consider it cute.

the one and only

considering only songs sang by the whole of T-ara, there’s only one song that I truly consider cute – Apply is A. This song is definitely produced with one goal in mind – to be cute.

unfortunately, it’s an advertisement song (for apple), and it’s not performed on any music programs, thus leaving us youtubers with only the official MV, and this:
